Announcing Broncos Spring Hockey Program

Dear Present and Future Barrington High School Hockey Players:

Join the Barrington Broncos this spring! The Broncos want to invite you to participate in the area's top caliber high school program. The Barrington Broncos have consistently ranked among the elite varsity and junior varsity teams in Illinois. We’ve made some changes and we want you to be part of taking our program to even higher levels.

All players who are in or will be entering high school next year are encouraged to participate in spring hockey and get to know the coaches, systems and their future classmates in a fun environment. Our focus will be on skill development. Even if you’ve played somewhere else, we encourage you to give us a look for spring. We think you will like what you see. The program has been revamped and will feature:

Instruction will be lead by Steve Martins, an experienced head coach with 14 years of NHL and other professional playing experience following a Division I hockey career at Harvard University
Guest Coaches to supplement skill development
A fee of $495 with no reduction in ice time or tournament play from prior years
Fee includes a Bronco Spring jersey and entry fees for two local tournaments
Tuesday evening practice ice will rotate every other week:
- 6:50 – 8:20pm or
- 8:30 – 10:00pm
Wednesday evening practice ice: 9:10 – 10:40pm
Sunday evening practice ice: 7:00 – 8:30pm
On ice evaluation for spring teams will be held at the Barrington Ice Arena on the first evening – players will be notified via email as to their appropriate start times on this evening
Spring hockey begins Tuesday April 2 and runs thru Sunday June 2
Must be USA Hockey Registered

Spring Program Sign Up Form

Hockey Banquet - Friday, April 5

As our season ramps up for the Blackhawk Cup playoffs, we are beginning to plan out the hockey banquet. It will be at Makray Golf Course on Friday, April 5.

Our first meeting will be on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Widmoyer's home at 6:30pm. Please let Mary Magro (mrymags@yahoo.com) know if you are interested in helping, whether you can make the meeting or not. This is always a special night for the boys and it takes many people to make it great.

SENIOR NIGHT

Congratulations! BHS Hockey celebrated our Seniors on Wednesday, January 30 at 7:00pm at the Barrington Ice Arena. They topped off the night by beating St. Viator 3-2 with Senior Matt Furmanski scoring twice. Good luck to the Varsity team in the Blackhawk Cup playoffs!
