Varsity Head
Coach:
Rob Hutson
Rob
returns to the Chicago area after an excellent Division 1 college
hockey career at the University Illinois at Chicago. He is the
record holder at UIC for Power Play goals and the CCHA record holder
for PP goals by a freshmen. After his playing days at UIC Rob signed
with the Detroit Redwings organization and played professional teams
over 8 seasons. Rob won the Colonial Cup with Muskegon Fury in 2002.
He brings a wealth of hockey experience and 15 plus years coaching
experience to the program. Rob is the current Hockey Director for
the Barrington Redwings and the Bronco’s and will oversee all facets
of the JV and Varsity programs for the Bronco's.

Varsity Co-
Coach:
Greg Meola
Greg is
returning to the Bronco organization after graduating with the class
of ’02. During his time spent with the Broncos he served as a team
leader by earning the title of assistant captain in his sophomore
year. After graduating from Barrington Greg went on to South Bend,
IN to pursue a College degree at Holy Cross College. In South Bend
he took it upon himself to get involved in the Hockey program. He
taught instructional lessons for the goalies in youth hockey
program, served as an alternate coach for the South Bend Clay high
school hockey club, and created as well as coached the Holy Cross
College ACHA Division 3 hockey team. Greg is very excited to be
involved with the Broncos once again. “Once a Bronco always a
Bronco.”

JV Head Coach:
Steve Sarauer
Steve,
originally from West Bend Wisconsin joins the Bronco coaching staff
after having coached in the Milwaukee area for the last six years.
In those six years Steve coached AAA teams ranging from squirt on up
to major midgets as well as high school club teams. While coaching
Steve was also a standout for the club team at the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers. Steve jumped into coaching after
sustaining a career ending injury while attending the Phoenix
Coyotes NHL Rookie Camp in 2002.

JV Assistant
Coach:
Derek Hirt
Derek will be
joining the Bronco coaching staff this season in his first season
coaching youth hockey. Derek has played hockey for over 24 years
and now finds himself home, willing and able to give back to the
game he has a great passion for. He has played at many levels from
youth hockey to minor pro hockey in Canada.

Goaltending
Coach: Wendell
Young
Wendell will be
joining the Broncos for another season as goalie coach. He brings a
wealth of experience including 18 years of professional hockey of
which 10 years were in the NHL playing for Vancouver, Philadelphia,
Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay. During his playing career Wendell was an
integral part of teams that won virtually every championship
attainable: Stanley Cup-NHL, Turner Cup-IHL, Calder Cup-AHL and the
Memorial Cup-CHL. His coaching resume is as distinguished as his
playing career working as goalie coach for the Calgary Flames and
presently Assistant coach for the Chicago Wolves. During his playing
career Wendell has also directed his own goaltending schools for 20
plus years while also making time to coach youth hockey for the NW
Chargers for the last five years.
